Brazilian Golden papaya

With large scale production in Brazil, the Golden papaya variety is notable for its sweet but subtle flavor. This type of papaya was developed here in Brazil, starting in 1972.

With time, the fruit has gained Brazilian hearts, by whom this variety is also known as simply Papaia or Havaí – common names for all papayas of Solo origin. Since then, many discoveries were made about this tropical fruit’s potential: from its nutritional advantages in diet to disease prevention.

Golden is distinguished by being a small variety of papaya, with 20 centimeters of width and weighing around 400 grams.
